Private Litigation

Working for private individuals or companies, we are able to offer specialist civil litigation help and advice. The more usual cases involve arguments over debt, property, inheritance and Wills, though many of our private clients will also require the services covered by our Publicly Funded team – the most likely being Personal Injury.

Publicly Funded Litigation

Many civil disputes arise out of circumstances that qualify for legal aid funding. Awarded Specialist Help status in four areas of litigation, we are recognised by the Legal Services Commission as having particular expertise in Personal Injury, Actions Against the Police Housing and Public Law.

Housing

We are committed to acting for private individuals who may have possession and other housing related proceedings issued against them by their landlords. One of five firms in the area contracted by the Law Society to provide specialist housing advice, we are recognised housing experts and work with clients on issues including rent arrears, homelessness and disrepair. Property Disputes

Property disputes by their very nature can involve high value financial sums, they are often complex and always personal. Understanding the emotional stress generated by such disputes, we work with all parties to find acceptable out of court settlements as well as looking at our client’s rights from a purely legal perspective.

Actions against the Police

Unfortunately, the Police do not always get it right. Working for individuals who feel that the Police has treated them unreasonably or worse, we are able to provide legal advice and assistance at the very highest level.

Commercial Litigation

As well as working for private individuals, our Civil Litigation Team acts for commercial organisations, bringing and defending cases that involve business related disputes.

Offering immigration advice on a private basis, and able to call upon years of experience working within the legal aid sector, we are one of the leading firms in the provision of immigration legal services in the area.
