Family Solicitor

We are seeking a newly qualified to 3 year PQE solicitor to join our Family Department. This role will be a permanent position. We advise clients on the whole spectrum of family law including marital breakdown and finances, domestic abuse, contact with children and local authority child care. We carry out a mixture of publicly funded and private client work so candidates would benefit from a knowledge of legal aid eligibility rules. Much of our work is conducted through the courts, therefore candidates should have a keen interest in developing their advocacy skills.

Given the difficult circumstances in which clients are obtaining advice, candidates should have excellent client care skills and be able to deal with clients at vulnerable stages in their lives and be able to gain their trust.

This position would suit someone who had carried out part of their training in a family law department. Ours is a fast paced environment and the successful candidate would be part of a team responsible for a variety of family cases and keen to build up a network of agencies and contacts in this area of work.
